Mr. Warwick was named Portfolio Manager of the North Country Large Cap Equity Fund in February 1, 2025. He has been active in the investment profession since 1990. He founded Quantitative Equity Strategies (QES), a quantitative investment management firm that developed indices for the mutual fund industry, in 1999. The firm developed products for fixed income, managed futures, hedge fund, and private equity applications. The firm’s index business was sold to a mutual fund complex in late 2016. He serves as Chief Investment Officer of Aveo Capital’s Rock Haven team, which has approximately $300 million in client assets.
Mr. Warwick is also the author of Searching for Alpha: The Quest for Exceptional Investment Performance (Wiley, 2000) and has contributed to numerous industry publications. Mr. Warwick was previously a founding shareholder and Chief Investment Officer of Sovereign Wealth Management, Inc., a multi-family wealth management firm, which was purchased by United Capital Financial Advisers in 2011. He also served as Head of Quantitative Trading at Exis Capital, a New York-based hedge fund. His other books include:

He has an extensive background in derivatives. He managed one of the first managed futures index funds in the mid-1990s, which was based on the indices created by Managed Account Reports, an industry publication that was purchased by Euromoney PLC. He later developed the Aspen Managed Futures Beta Index, which won Index of the Year (2014) by CTA Intelligence Magazine. He has edited and contributed to several books on the use of exchange traded futures, including the widely used college text The Futures Game (McGraw-Hill, 1998) and The Handbook of Managed Futures (McGraw-Hill, 1996).

Mr. Warwick earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina, a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Florida, and additional undergraduate degrees in physics and chemistry. He enjoys playing tennis, scuba diving, and other activities with his wife of 37 years and their three adult children.
